Project's Objectives
Objectives:
The CyberGuard project is a comprehensive European initiative dedicated to fostering safer, more resilient digital environments for young people by addressing the complex and rapidly evolving issue of cyberbullying. As digital communication becomes increasingly integrated into the everyday lives of youth, the risks associated with harmful online behaviour continue to grow. Recognizing this urgent need, CyberGuard focuses on strengthening the knowledge, skills, and awareness of both youth workers and young individuals, ensuring they are well equipped to navigate and address online threats with confidence and responsibility.
At the core of the project lies a commitment to empowering youth workers through specialized training, practical digital tools, and evidence-based methodologies. By enhancing their capacity to identify, prevent, and respond effectively to cyberbullying, the project ensures that young people receive informed, supportive, and professional guidance. Equally important is CyberGuard’s dedication to supporting youth-oriented organisations in adopting structured prevention frameworks, enabling them to integrate cyber-safety measures into their daily practices and long-term strategies.
The project also prioritizes the empowerment of young people by helping them develop essential digital literacy skills, resilience, and critical awareness. Through educational activities and proactive engagement, they learn to recognize harmful behaviours, make responsible online choices, and serve as positive role models within their communities. CyberGuard further promotes open dialogue among parents, educators, and community stakeholders to reduce stigma, encourage reporting, and strengthen collective action against cyberbullying.
By fostering meaningful European cooperation, knowledge exchange, and shared solutions, CyberGuard aims to create lasting impact and contribute to a safer, more inclusive digital future for youth across Europe.
