About the Project :
CyberGuard is an Erasmus+ initiative designed to address the growing problem of cyberbullying among young people. As digital technologies become increasingly central in communication, education, and social interaction, many youths face new forms of online risks. CyberGuard responds by equipping youth workers with essential skills and tools to recognize, prevent, and manage cyberbullying effectively. Through specialized training sessions, participants gain a deeper understanding of the psychological and social dynamics of online harassment, as well as practical strategies for intervention and support.
The project not only focuses on professionals but also places young people at the center of its activities. Through empowerment workshops, interactive sessions, and scenario-based learning, youths develop critical digital literacy, online safety skills, and the confidence to stand up against harmful behaviors. They are encouraged to act as allies for their peers and take part in designing awareness actions and prevention strategies. This active involvement ensures that solutions are grounded in real experiences and that young individuals feel ownership of the initiatives created to protect them.
Through its multidimensional approach, CyberGuard aims to foster safer, more respectful online environments while promoting responsible digital citizenship.
The project:
CyberGuard brings together partners from the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, and Greece, promoting European cooperation and shared solutions to a cross-border issue. The project supports transnational knowledge exchange through meetings, joint training, and a European collaboration event. This partnership enhances the project’s impact by combining diverse expertise and cultural perspectives, ultimately contributing to more unified and sustainable approaches to combating cyberbullying.
A significant deliverable of the initiative is a comprehensive guide that compiles practical tools, prevention models, and intervention techniques tailored for youth workers and educators. Additionally, CyberGuard organizes awareness days to inform communities, parents, and stakeholders about the consequences of cyberbullying and the importance of collective responsibility in ensuring online safety.
Aligned with Erasmus+ priorities, the project promotes digital transformation, inclusion, and youth participation. By strengthening digital resilience and encouraging responsible online behavior, CyberGuard supports the development of active, informed, and empathetic young citizens. The initiative ultimately aims to build safer online spaces by empowering both professionals and young people, ensuring long-lasting positive impact across European communities.
CyberGuard: Key Objectives and Expected Outcomes
The CyberGuard project aims to create safer and more supportive digital spaces for young people by equipping youth workers, organizations, and youth communities with the tools and knowledge needed to address cyberbullying effectively. Its objectives focus on strengthening the capacity of youth workers through specialized training and practical digital tools, helping organizations adopt structured prevention strategies, and empowering young people with essential digital literacy and online resilience. Additionally, the project seeks to raise awareness among families, educators, and community stakeholders, while promoting long-term European cooperation to develop shared, innovative responses to cyberbullying.
To achieve these aims, CyberGuard delivers a series of coordinated activities. These include an international digital training program for youth workers, designed to enhance their ability to prevent and respond to cyberbullying. Local empowerment workshops in the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, and Greece engage young people directly, building their confidence and skills in online safety. A comprehensive CyberGuard Guide will offer practical resources and best practices to professionals and organizations. Furthermore, a European collaborative event will unite experts and youth organizations to exchange knowledge and shape joint strategies. Finally, CyberGuard Awareness Days will raise public understanding, promote digital well-being, and highlight the project’s achievements across all partner countries.
